Five Simple Ways to Reset Your Mind, Body and Soul

Modern life can be stressful, so we have listed five simple strategies to help you reset.

  1. Set aside an hour a day just for you and split it into three twenty minutes sections so you can focus on your mind, your body and lastly on your soul. This hour is sometimes called a ‘power hour’ and is a reminder of how important it is to step back from a busy life to focus on you.
  2. Make sure you receive good nutrition as often when we are under stress we tend to grab easy-to-eat foods that are frequently unhealthy. Instead, try to plan nutrient-dense meals and snacks that will provide the energy you need to deal with stress.
  3. Get outdoors whenever you can just to get close to nature and to breathe in the fresh air. Even walking to the local park during your lunch hour will help.
  4. Keep positive even when you feel stressed. Try to concentrate on all the good and positive things in your life to counteract negativity. When faced with a negative situation, take a deep breath before responding to questions or comments so you can plan a more effective answer.
  5. A disorganised home can increase stress levels, so try to spend a day getting your home in order, so that after work you can simply look forward to relaxing and recharging, ready for the next day.
