Are Hidden Sugars Sabotaging Your Smile?

Some foods are naturally high in sugars, but did you realise sugar is found in many foods where you just wouldn’t expect it? These foods include spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, bread and salad dressing. What’s worse, is that sugar is often in disguise! Some of its aliases include:

* Sorbitol

* Fructose

* High fructose corn syrup

* Molasses

* Sucrose

* Maltodextrin

* Dextrose

When sugar is this sneaky, it’s best to spend a few moments reading the labels before you make your purchase in the supermarket. This will help you to avoid consuming too much sugar, and it can go a long way to helping you maintain a healthy mouth.
