The New Year is the perfect time to make resolutions, but unfortunately, many good intentions fail to last more than a couple of weeks. This year, why not make some resolutions that you can easily keep and which can improve your smile? We’ve listed a few simple tips to get you started on your path to better oral health.
Buy a New Toothbrush
You use your toothbrush at least twice a day for two minutes each time, so it’s not surprising it wears out quite quickly. Aim to replace your toothbrush every three months so if you buy a new one now then you will know to ditch it for a brand-new one come spring.
We know lots of people find flossing a chore, but it’s so important for good gum health. If you find flossing tricky, set yourself a target to begin flossing twice a week initially and then increase it by one day a week. Very soon, you will be flossing daily and can look forward to stronger and healthier gums.
Visit the Dentist Regularly
Most people need dental visits twice yearly, while some people should come and see us more frequently. Regular dental visits are the easiest and most cost-effective way to maintain optimal oral health and a nicer smile.
